Christmas Jumper Day 2019
6th Year Christmas Jumpers 2019!
On Dec 6 2019, CBS Kilkenny was awash with festive cheer and Christmassy ensembles! The Student Council helped to co-ordinate a Christmas Jumper day to raise funds for four local charities. This was a whole school effort involving staff and students.
All students were encouraged to wear their Christmas jumper (or other festive attire!) and €2530.40 was collected on the morning.
The whole staff enjoyed a mouthwatering feast at lunch time, resulting in €550 being collected!
The Student Council also organised a Cake Sale in the front yard and a total of €284.75 was collected!
In total €3365.15 was collected and the Board of Management have very kindly agreed to add to this sum, to bring the final total to a very impressive €4000!!
This money will now be divided between the following four local charities who do amazing work in Kilkenny.
