School Support Structures for Students

Picture

CBS Kilkenny is an innovative school which draws on the talents and skills of staff, students and parents to provide the most supportive environment possible.

Class Tutors

Each class group has a Class Tutor who supports his/her class and is someone students can go to if they have concerns.

A Class Tutor is attentive to the pastoral needs and general well-being of the students in their group.

Year Heads

Each year group has a Year Head who monitors the progress and behaviour of students in their year groups.

They address any difficulties that a student may be having and working with the student and parents & guardians seek a resolution.

They regularly  meet their students to discuss aspects of their academic and personal progression.

Student Council

Our Student Council allows students to become actively involved within the school community and develops a sense of belonging and of responsibility.

Each class group has a class representative, as well as a member on the council from their year group
